Paragliding in Kalimpong, Darjeeling and Sikkim was introduced only in the early nineties, as compared to paragliding in Pokhara, Nepal, which was operational in the late seventies. But of late, paragliding in Kalimpong, Darjeeling and Sikkim has picked up momentum and has largely become popular with tourists visiting Kalimpong and Darjeeling, as well as with the local populace. Paragliding and microflights in Pokhara, Nepal, started a long time ago, when people in Kalimpong and Darjeeling hardly knew about this sport.

Fly like a bird at 3000m and get unprecedented views of the Majestic Himalayan Range, lush green tropical forests, tea Gardens and small hamlets and towns far below. Fly above the clouds and get a birds-eye view of the mountain range and the Himalayan terrain far below. Due to the varied nature of the Himalayan topography in this part of the world, you get to witness it from high above the mountain range to the plains down below.

Paragliding in Darjeeling is done from Jalpahar which is the highest point in Darjeeling. The flight takes about 30minutes and will end at lebong Ground. Our transport will be waiting at the lebong ground and transport you back to Darjeeling Town.

Paragliding in Kalimpong starts from Delo. This is the highest point in Kalimpong. We offer 15minutes to 45minutes flight, depending on your choice the flight will be operated.

In Pokhara the flight takes off from Sarangkhot, a small town on the hill overlooking Pokhara Town and the entire Lake, and lands at the famous Phewa Tal or Lake.

What do we Offer?

We conduct & offer Tandem Flights in Kalimpong Darjeeling Gangtok & in Pokhara. This type Paragliding is perfect for a begineer who do not have much or any experience. This means that the participant do not need to have any previous experience in paragliding.

An experienced Pilot accompanies the participant and will be in full control of the glider during the flight. Maximum weight should not exceed 90Kgs. Piloting of the glider is done by an experienced pilot. The participant only needs to help while taking off and landing.

How long can a Tandem flight last?

Tandem flights can last from 30minutes to an hour depending upon the choice of the participant.

Best Time for Paragliding in India and Nepal

Best time for Paragliding in Kalimpong Darjeeling and Pokhara is during spring & Autumn. This is just the period of the year when the atmosphere is crystal clear and the visibility of the Himalayan Range is at it’s best. During monsoon, that is from June to September paragliding is not available.
