Lobuche is beautiful Peak with a height of 6119m in the Khumbu Region very close to the Everest Base Camp in Nepal Himalayas. Lobuche is made up of two Peaks. Lobuche East and Lobuche West and of the two, Lobuche East with a height of 6119m has been declared a trekking Peak, while Lobuche West at 6145m is an expedition Peak.
Of the two Peaks, Lobuche East Peak Climbing is more popular and sees a stream of novice climbers every season. Also, it is not possible to access the West Peak from the East as there is a deep valley between the two Peaks. Mixing up with a hike to Everest Base Camp with Lobuche East Peak Climbing makes it a beautiful combination as the views of Everest and the surrounding peaks from the summit of Lobuche at 6119m is stunning.

Lobuche Peak climbing
Lobuche Peak Climbing route follows the same route as the Everest Base Camp Trail as the Peak lies close to the Khumbu Glacier, very close to the small settlement of Lobuche. Even though designated as a trekking peak, Lobuche East Peak climbing does need some mountaineering skills. Like the use of crampons, ice axe and a few other equipment used for the purpose of mountaineering, this is to ensure the safety of the climbers. Fixed ropes will be put in place for the safety of the climbers. But, our experienced climbing team will conduct a training specifically for Lobuche Peak Climbing and prepare you well for the final assult to the Peak of Lobuche East.
More on Lobuche East and West Peak.
Lobuche is a six thousand metre Peak near the Khumbu Glacier very close to the small settlement of Lobuche in the Everest Region of Nepal Himalayas. There are two main peaks to this mountain, Lobuche East (6119m) and Lobuche West (6145m). Lobuche East has been designated as a trekking Peak while Lobuche West as an Expedition Peak. First ascent on this Lobuche East Peak was done on 25t.April 1984 and Lobuche West was climbed via the south shoulder in 1955. Approaching the West peak from Lobuche East Peak is somewhat not possible, as there is a deep notch in between that seperates the two peaks. However, of the two Lobuche East Peak is climbed more frequently than Lobuche West.
