Trek to Tibet’s mythical Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar, from 2745m to 4880m and Trekking to a Maximum of 5600m. Kailash Pilgrimage trek begins with a flight to Simikot in Nepal’s remote Humla District.

From Simikot the trek follows the ancient salt trading and pilgrimage route towards the Nara Langa pass and to the border trade post at Taklakot. From here drive overland north past Gurla Mandata mountain to the shores of Lake Manasarovar and Rakshas Tal Lake and on to settlement of Darchen situated at the foot of Mt. Kailash. This holy mountain is revered by Hindus, Buddhist, Jains and Bonpos as the center of the universe.

Once there make the ‘kora’ (holy-walk) of the mountain sharing the trail with many other pilgrims that head for Kailash during the summer months. After completing this trek camp by the banks of lake Manasarovar and then drive eastwards by jeep along the mighty Zangpo river and through the vastness of the Tibet Plateau.
