Nubra Valley Trek – A remote and a picturesque Trek
North of the Nubra Valley known as the valley of flowers remote and picturesque accessible only by Trekking or by driving through the Khardungla Pass (5602m) lies the Nubra Valley Trek. Trek to Lasermo La Pass (5350m), highest point on the trek and enjoy great views of the Karakoram Range which is the home to K2, the second highest mountain in the world. Cross the mighty Lasirmo Glacier and while on a trek to Hunder Dok visit the shepherders hut and taste their famous Gur gur Tea or Buttered tea. Admire the Yaks and sheep grazing in the high meadows.
Nubra Valley starts from Hunder Village with views of the sand dunes in the distance. However, the lush green vegetation of the central part of the Nubra Valley stands out like an oasis in stark contrast to the semi arid conditions of the surrounding area all around it.
Explore the local monasteries in Hunder, Diskit and Sumur and take a sand dune ride on a double humped Bactrian Camel. Then drive back to leh through the famous Khardungla Pass, the highest motorable road in the world and end the Nubra Valley trek with a flight back to Delhi and further on to your home country.
Moderate to Strenuous Camping Trek. All camping equipments & food will be provided. Participants will have to carry their own Pack & walk at their own pace.

Nubra Valley Trek itinerary
Day 1: Arrive at Leh (3500m). Drive to the Hotel (B/B only).
Day 2: Acclimitization day. Visit Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery perched on a hilltop and the Hemis monastery once the richest and the biggest Monastery in Ladakh. Overnight Hotel (B/B only).
Day 3: Drive Leh to Umla ( Trek Head). Overnight Camp.
Day 4: Nubra Valley Trek Starts. Trek Umla to Taru (3600m/ 5Hrs). Overnight Camp.
Day 5: Trek Taru – Phyang – Murbuk (3800m/6Hrs). Trek starts with a gentle climb to Bong Bong La (4200m) and then trek down on a steep downhill path to Phyang. Visit the Phyang Monastery and trek further on to Murbuk. Overnight Camp.
Day 6: Trek Murbuk to Pulu (4800m/ 6hrs). The Days trek starts with a gentle uphill track beside the fast flowing stream on the left. After crossing the Strean enter a gorge and trek on a gentle upward path to Pulu. Overnight Camp.
Day 7: Trek Pulu to Lasirmo la Pass (5350m) to Base Camp (4800m/7Hrs). The first two hours is a gentle climb upto the Lasirmo Pass and then trek down over the Glacier to Base Camp. Overnight Camp.
Day 8: Trek Base Camp to Hundur Dok (4100m/5Hrs). The trek to Hunder Dok is a gentle descent on moraines on a gorge. Visit the Hunder Dok Sheepherds and try out the Gurgur Tea. Overnight Camp.
Day 9: Trek Hunder Dok to Skarchen to Hunder (3300m/5Hrs). Overnight Camp.
Day 10: Trek Hunder to Diskit drive to Sumur (3350m/5Hrs). A gentle trek to Diskit. Visit the Diskit Monastery and explore the Nubra Valley and get a closer look at the two humped Camel. Take a one hours drive to Sumur. Overnight Hotel.
Day 11 : Drive to Leh via the Khardungla Pass ( 10Hrs ). The highest motorable road in the world. Free in the evening to explore Leh Town. Overnight Hotel (B/B only).
Day 12 : Drive to Leh Airport for Final Departure to Delhi and further on to Home country. End of Nubra Valley Trek.
