Great Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek

Trek to North and South Base Camps of Mt.Kanchenjunga

Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek leads to the foot of the third highest mountain in the world, Mt.Kanchendzonga(8598m). Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek Route lies in eastern Nepal with the Border with Sikkim in India. All expeditions to Kanchenjunga have taken place from the Nepal Side as expedition to Kanchenjunga is banned in Sikkim.

Because of it’s isolation and remoteness the area around this peak is untouched and less Trekked. Trek through the Hill side Villages of Chirwa, Sakathum and Amjilosa and wonder at the panaromic view of Kanchenjunga masiff and its three Subsidiary 8000m peaks from Okta. Trek up to the Kanchandzonga Base Camp at Pang Pema & climb up to the Vantage point to Cherish the Sight of the Kanchenjunga Masiff,  Wedge peak(6750m), Twin Peaks(7350m), Pyramid Peak(7168m) & Tent Peak (7365m).

Take a day trip to Janu Base Camp from Khambachen and watch the Blue sheep Graze on the mountain side and see the Jannu glacier flow by gently or Idle around at Khambachen and be contended being sequestered in the bosom of the Kabru(6332m), Phole( 6645m),Nango Ma and Janu or Kumbakarna as is known in Nepal.

Moderate to Strenuous Trekking to a maximum altitude of 5000m.  Accommodation will be provided in Twin Share Tents with Dining Tent, Kitchen Tent and Toilet Tent. Hot food will be provided by the Kitchen Staff. Main Baggage will be carried by the Ponies / Porters. Participants gets to carry a Day Pack with their personal Items in them and walk in their own pace.

  • in Kathmandu and all other entry points to Nepal.
  • 2 passport photos will be required.
  •  Single Entry visa: US$ 30 per visa (valid for 60 days).
  • Multiple Entry visa: US$ 80 per visa (valid for 150 days).
  • Nepal Visas are also available in all Nepalese Embassies and Consulates.
  • No entry Visa is required for Indian National to enter & Travel in Nepal.
